The material

Gonzalez uses 3 mm-thick opaque and translucent stained glass, cut and shaped with precision into pieces of various sizes and shapes. The individual pieces are then rimmed with copper tape.  Finally, the pieces are soft-soldered together using the Tiffany technique. On some pieces, she paints with enamel on the glass.

The display

The artwork can be displayed by hanging against a window or a wall or by letting it rest on a stand – in both cases, preferably where light could filter through.
